Most farmers still believe in agriculture.

Four out of five farmers from the northern Vojvodina region will definitely continue working in agriculture in the future, while only one in five respondents indicated the possibility of ceasing their agricultural activities in the near future, according to research conducted as part of the cross-border project "Rural Food Tour." Only one in a hundred respondents said they would definitely leave agricultural activities. "Three out of five who are considering stopping production believe that, if they withdraw, there will be someone to take over their farm," the study states. Only a small portion of respondents, less than one fifth, are engaged in rural and agrotourism. Fewer than one in ten of those not currently involved in rural and agrotourism said they might consider entering this field in the future, while one in seven respondents said they were unsure whether they would engage in agrotourism down the line. The Digital Region Association, which commissioned the research, will create a public online database for producers from the North Bačka District and neighboring areas as part of the project. This database will allow producers to stay informed about each other’s activities; it will enable potential buyers to learn about their products; and it will be accessible to citizens interested in participating as guests in rural and agrotourism. "One in ten respondents responded positively to this initiative and saw potential for their own farm," the Association stated.
